When you mistakenly send a message that is improper or private to a contact or channel and are then required to apologize for it, it is an unpleasant situation.

A number of communication platforms offer the option to delete a chat message, but these systems do not do so for all users. The situation becomes more confusing and awkward for some users as a result of this.

The search results that recipients see in chat reflect the content of the edited message.

How to edit a message in Zoom Chat Box

You can edit the content of the sent messages.

1. Place the cursor on the message you want to edit and click the arrow.
2. Select [Edit].
3. Change the text and click Save.
4. It will show that all chat participants have been edited.

How to delete messages You can delete messages you have sent at any time. Recipients cannot view deleted messages.

How to delete a file in Zoom Chat Box

2. Select [Delete].

The message “File deleted” will be displayed, but the notification will not be displayed to other participants. The chat history will show

If you send an image via chat, you can delete it.

The receiver cannot use deleted items in Zoom.

How to Delete GIF from Zoom Chat Box

If you send a GIF via chat, you can delete that GIF.

Recipients cannot view deleted items in Zoom.

   Press and hold the Zoom GIF image. (For iPhone)
2. Select [Delete].

The deleted message is displayed, but other participants do not receive notification of that message.
