If your microphone can handle audio in stereo, you can send audio in stereo during a meeting or webinar.

Note : Stereo audio is currently applied only during a meeting or webinar.

The audio for recording will be monaural.

Prerequisites

  • Basic User, Professional, Business, or API Partner Account
  • Owner or Administrator privileges to enable for the account

 

Enable stereo audio at the account level

  1. Sign in to the Zoom Web Portal as an administrator with permission to edit account settings and click Account Settings.
  2. Go to the ” Meeting ” tab and go to the ” Allow users to select stereo audio in client settings ” option and make sure the setting is enabled.
  3. If the setting is disabled, click the toggle to enable it.
    When the confirmation dialog appears, click to enable you to confirm the changes by clicking on them].

 

Optional:

Click the lock icon to lock this setting if you require this setting for all users in your account.

 

Enable stereo audio for a specific group

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an administrator with permission to edit user groups, and click Group Management.
  2. Click the name of the group and then click the Settings tab.
  3. Go to the ” Meeting ” tab and go to the ” Allow users to select stereo audio in client settings ” option and make sure the setting is enabled.
  4. If the setting is disabled, click the toggle to enable it.
    When the confirmation dialog appears, select Enable to confirm your changes.

 

Note : If the option is greyed out, it is

locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level.

Optional:

Click the lock icon to lock this setting if you want this setting for all users in this group .

 

Enable stereo audio in your personal settings

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal and click My Meeting Settings.
  2. Meeting [of] tab to allow the selection of stereo audio to the user ] to move to the option, make sure that the setting is enabled.
  3. If the setting is disabled, click the Status toggle to enable it.

Turn on the stereo in the Zoom client

Users who have enabled the settings will be able to select Enable stereo audio in the audio settings after logging out of the Zoom client and logging back in again.

  • In the Zoom client, click on your profile picture and click Settings.
  • Click the Audio tab.
  •  Turn on the Enable Stereo option. Stereo audio is enabled for meetings and webinars joined from a computer.
