How to Sync external Zoom meetings to Salesforce

The Zoom web portal or Zoom desktop client may be used by Salesforce users to create Zoom meetings from within their Salesforce account. A Zoom meeting can be synced into Salesforce by integrating it with the Zoom web portal, where it reviews Zoom meetings and creates events in Salesforce for contacts and leads that match those in the Zoom meeting.

How to configure background jobs

The following steps can be taken to enable and configure a background job:

  1. If you are an administrator, you need to log in to Salesforce.
  2. The Zoom Config app can be found in the App Launcher.
  3. Choose the checkbox that says Active (Active Events for Non Salesforce Zoom Meetings for matching Contacts / Leads). This will trigger the creation of the Zoom meetings.
  4. If you want to start the job at a specific time and interval, you can do so.
  5. Then click on the “Save” button.
