It is possible to receive Vimeo notifications via Zoom chat channels when there are new videos, groups, or projects on Vimeo through the Zoom chat app for Vimeo. Users can also search for videos in their account by filtering them based on recent uploads or by searching by the name of the video.

How to install and configure

How to install from the Zoom Marketplace

1. When you are logged in as a Zoom admin, you will see the Zoom Marketplace under your Zoom account.
2. The Vimeo app can be found by searching for Vimeo and clicking on the icon.
3. In case the app has not yet been pre-approved, you can pre-approve it.
4. You can add an app by clicking Add, confirming the app permissions, and then choosing Authorize:
   The zoom chat app for Vimeo will now be available for all users in the Zoom account, and you will be able to see a success page.

When the app has been installed, you can find it in the left-hand panel of Zoom Chat tab’s left-hand panel under the APPS section.

How to connect and configure the Vimeo chatbot

1. In the Zoom Chat tab of the desktop client, you will be able to navigate to the Vimeo channel once you install the Vimeo app from the Zoom Marketplace.
2. Send a message to connect by typing connect and sending it
   A link will be sent to you by the Vimeo chat application in order to authenticate your account with Vimeo.
3. In order to authenticate your account with Vimeo, please click the link below.
4. When the authorization is successful, a success message will appear on the Zoom chat window, as well as a success message on the web page.

As a result of this configuration, Zoom users can issue the configure command for any chat channel to set up notifications for that channel.

How to use the Vimeo chatbot

• help: A list of all the available commands for the Vimeo chat app can be found by typing help in the chat window.
• meet: If you type the meet command, a Zoom meeting will be created instantly, and you will receive a link to join the Zoom meeting. Under the Meetings tab of the Zoom client, you will be able to see a list of all the upcoming meetings that have been scheduled
• configure: In order to subscribe to notifications, you need to issue the configure command, and then click on the link in order to get started. Select the destination channel and notification topics for the notification on the chat app setup web page, and then click on the Save button. Subscriptions can be saved by clicking on the Save Subscription button.
• • A poll will be conducted every 15 minutes by the chat application in order to see if these changes have occurred on your Vimeo account:
    • New Videos: Upon uploading a video through the Vimeo home page, you will receive a notification.
    • Note: In order to receive the notifications for New Videos, the upload button on the Vimeo home page will have to be clicked on by you before you can add the video to your account.

  • You may experience a delay of up to 15 minutes after a change is made to your account before you receive a notification in the chat app after making the change.
• get-videos: If you would like to get the ten most recently uploaded videos, issue the get-videos command.
• search-videos <search term>: In order to search for videos whose titles begin with the search term that you entered, issue the search-videos *search term> command on your command line. The search-videos 720p command, for instance, returns up to 10 videos with titles that have 720p as part of their description.
• disconnect: If you would like to disconnect your Zoom account from Vimeo, you will need to issue the disconnect command.

How to uninstall the Vimeo chat app

1. You can access the Zoom Marketplace by logging into your Zoom account and navigating to the Zoom Marketplace page.
2. You can find Vimeo by searching for it on the app store and clicking on it.
3. When you click on Vimeo, you will be prompted to remove it.

  • Scopes: public: You can access the data of public members by logging in to your account.
  • Vimeo data accessed: Video endpoint returned a full response in response to the video request
  • Vimeo data displayed: There are a number of videos listed (name, status, date/time that the video was uploaded, date/time that the video was created, link to video, duration), a list of new projects and new groups (name, description, date/time that the project was created.
