Using GIPHY, you have the possibility of finding and sending GIFs without having to leave the Zoom Chat window. In addition to searching for GIFs with the keyword you want to use in your chat, you can also click on the one you want to share.

If the account owner or admin restricts the content rating of your GIPHY content, your content may not be visible to users.

Prerequisites for sending GIFs in Zoom Chat

• Desktop client for Zoom
  • Version 5.3.0 or higher is required for Windows
  • Version 5.3.0 or higher is required for macOS
  • Linux: version 5.3.0 or later
• The Zoom app for mobile devices
  • Version 5.3.0 or higher is required for Android
  • Version 5.3.0 or higher is required for iOS
• You can search and send animated GIF images if the account owner or administrator has enabled that feature in your Zoom Chat Account settings

Note:

The advanced chat encryption feature of GIPHY prevents you from sending animated GIFs.

How to send an animated GIF using GIPHY

Windows | macOS | Linux

Search and send animated GIFs using GIPHY

• Using the Zoom desktop client, sign in to your account.
• Click on one of the chat threads to select it.
• At the bottom right of the chat window, there is an icon of a smiley face that can be clicked.
• You will be able to see a GIF by clicking on it.
• Search for GIF images by entering a word in the search box at the top of the page.
  There will be a maximum of six GIFs displayed.

• You can send a GIF image by clicking on it.
  You will be able to see the GIF in your chat window once you click on it.
• Click the button where it says “Remove GIF from chat window” when you want to remove a GIF image from the chat window (before you send it).
• The GIF image should be sent along with your chat message.
• If you wish, you may add the GIF image to your favorite emojis after sending it by hovering your mouse near it and clicking the ellipses.

Search and send animated GIFs using GIPHY

• Log in to Zoom on your mobile device.
• Click on one of the chat threads.
• Right below the chat window, tap the smiley face.
• Select GIF.
• You can search for a GIF image by entering a word in the search box.
  A maximum of six GIFs will be displayed.

• You can send a GIF by tapping it.
  Your chat window will display the GIF.
• You can remove GIF images before you send them by tapping the button on the GIF image (optional).
• Include the GIF image in your chat message.
• You can add the GIF to your favorite emojis by tapping the ellipses after sending the image.

How to access your favorite emojis

Send GIFs you previously saved to your favorites quickly and easily with your favorite emojis.

1. You can sign in to Zoom with either the desktop client or the mobile app.
2. Choose a chat thread.
3. To create a smiley face, simply click or tap on the icon.
4. A list of saved GIFs can be accessed by clicking or tapping the heart icon.
