About the setting to check

  1. Turn off the “Group HD Video” setting:
    • Go to the Zoom web portal.
    • Click on [ Account Settings ] and select the [ Meeting ] tab.
    • Scroll down to the [ In Meeting (Advanced) ] section.
    • Find the “Group HD Video” setting and set it to [ OFF ].
    • Click on Save to apply the change. Note: This setting can improve video quality in group meetings but may use more bandwidth.
  2. Disable “Optimize for full screen video clip” when sharing screens:
    • Start a screen sharing session.
    • Click on the Advanced tab at the top of the screen sharing window.
    • Uncheck the box next to “Optimize for full screen video clip”.
    • Click on OK to apply the change. Note: This setting can reduce the image quality during screen sharing if selected.
  3. Check the packet loss rate:
    • Open the Zoom app and go to [ Settings ].
    • Select the [ Advanced ] tab.
    • Check the packet loss rate under the [ Screen sharing ] section.
    • If the packet loss rate is above 40%, it may affect the Zoom performance and video quality.
    • Consider upgrading your internet connection or network infrastructure to reduce packet loss.

 One-to-one video calls:

・ HQ video: 600 kbps / 600 kbps (up / down)

・ HD video: 1.2Mbps / 1.2Mbps (up / down)

 Group video calls:

・ HQ video: 600 kbps / 1.2 Mbps (up / down)

・ For gallery view: 1.5Mbps / 1.5Mbps (up / down)

 Screen sharing (without video thumbnails): 50-75 kbps

 Screen sharing (with video thumbnails): 50-150 kbps

 VoIP voice: 60-80 kbps
