How to enable Chroma Key in Zoom

Chromakey is a background, most often green or blue, to replace the rear view, in a photo or video. A vivid example is the presenters who talk about the weather, and behind it there is a video with the city and the upcoming weather.

How to put Chroma Key on Zoom

In order to use chroma key in Zoom, you need to be in front of the green equipment. It can be a special device or a large sheet of A0 paper, cloth. After you have equipped the chroma key, you need to set up the platform for the correct image:

  • Go to Zoom settings, go to Virtual background;
  • Check the box next to the words “I have a green screen.”

Often, this function is by default, but it is still worth checking in order for the picture to be transmitted with high quality.

Now, during the installation, during the conference, there will be a broadcast with a smooth picture, without distortion. This is a great solution for weaker computers and laptops.

To make a background without a chroma key in Zoom and not bother looking for it, you can sit by the wall, which will be a solid color. The program automatically selects the color, but if it is incorrect, you can edit it manually:

  • Go to Zoom settings;
  • Go to Virtual background;
  • Click on a color.

In the window that opens, select a new color.
