Why Video/Camera not working in Zoom App

When using the Zoom desktop client or mobile app, if the camera is not displayed or if the camera is selected but the video is not displayed, refer to the following troubleshooting.

If this is your first time using video, 
it is recommended that you make sure that the camera is selected correctly and adjust the video settings.

 

PC Troubleshooting

  1. Quit all programs.
  2. Restart your computer
  3. Uninstall Zoom Client and reinstall the latest version from the Zoom Download Center
  4. Update your camera driver on the support and download page for your device.

 

Troubleshooting for Mac

  • Make sure that all programs are finished
  • Restart your computer
  • If the camera does not work with Zoom after rebooting, check if the camera works with a Mac application such as Photo Booth or Facetime. If it works with other applications,

    Uninstall Zoom Client and reinstall the latest versionfromZoom’s Download Center
  • If other applications do not work, please contact

    Apple Support

 

Troubleshooting for Linux

  1. Make sure that all programs are finished.
  2. Restart your computer
  3. If it does not work after rebooting, uninstall the Zoom client and reinstall the latest version from the Zoom download center.

 

Troubleshooting for iOS devices

  •  [ Start of the video by tapping] Make sure that the video starts. 

  • Tap the camera icon at the top of the screen to switch between the front and back cameras.

  • Make sure no other application is using the camera. 
    Double-tap the Home button to display all open applications. Swipe up on any applications that may be using the camera.

 

  •  Make sure that Zoom has access to the camera.
  • Open [ Settings ] of iOS.
  • Tap [ Privacy ].

  • Tap [ Camera ].

 

Switch access to Zoom on (green)

 

  1. Restart your iOS device.

  2. Remove the Zoom app and reinstall it from the App Store
Press and hold the Zoom app icon until it vibrates and an X appears. Tap
[ Delete Tap], make sure that you want to delete the app.

Reinstall the Zoom app

Open the App store. 

Search Zoom. Tap the cloud mark next to
[ ZOOM Cloud Meetings ] to download it.

Once downloaded, Zoom will be displayed in the application.


Make sure the camera is working with other iOS apps such as camera apps. 
Please contact Zoom support if it works with other applications

If it does not work with other applications,

please contact Apple Support.

 

Troubleshooting for Android devices

  1.  [ Video Tap] to see if the video begins. 

  • Tap [ Switch Camera ] to switch between the front and back cameras.

  1. Make sure no other application is using the camera.
    Open a recently used application. The way to open it depends on the device.
    Some devices have an open device by pressing the home button or some devices have a key to open a recently used application. 
    Swipe the application using the camera to the right to close it.

 

Make sure that Zoom has permission to use the camera.

  • Open the device’s Settings.
  • Tap [ Applications ].
  • Tap [ Application Manager ].
  • Tap [ Zoom ].
  • Take pictures and video if access is not in the list, the application in accordance with the following uninstall and reinstall you. 


Uninstall and reinstall the Zoom app.

Open the device’s Settings.
Tap [ Applications ].
Tap [ Application Manager ].
Tap [ Zoom ].
Tap [ Uninstall ].
Check Uninstall.


Open Play Store.
Search for [ Zoom Cloud Meetings ].
Tap [ Install ].

  • Restart your Android device.

If downloading the latest version of Zoom from the Download Center does not solve the problem as described above, please contact Zoom support.
