Bandwidth need when using 3G, 4G/LTE, or 5G in Zoom App
If you would like to start or join a video meeting you will need a data plan for your mobile devices.
While operating in 3G, 4G/LTE or 5G modes, the active speaker for iPad will be in a non-full screen mode.
It is important to note that when transmitting in 3G, 4G/LTE, or 5G mode, the active speaker will be viewed in full screen mode.
Using sufficient mobile bandwidth, you will be able to see the full screen on both iPad and iPhone. Using the gallery view, you can also see more than one attendee.
The screen will automatically resize to a smaller size if the bandwidth is low.
You can turn off the video feature on your mobile plan if you want to conserve data. As soon as you switch from the home screen to the “recording” screen, iOS will automatically turn off the video, as well as preserve the audio.
