Configuring port forwarding for Meeting Connector
In the following example you will learn how to configure your Meeting Connector (MC) to redirect ports from your firewall when using port forwarding.
(350 participants) – One Meeting Connector Controller
The following is an example of network information:
- Meeting Connector has been assigned the following external IP address: 173.288.57.201
- and ZC has been assigned the following internal IP address: 10.100.124.238
- and MMR has been assigned the following internal IP address: 10.100.124.237
The following is an example of how to configure a firewall:
- Forward 173.228.57.201 TCP/UDP 9001 > 10.100.124.238 TCP/UDP 8802
- Forward 173.228.57.201 TCP/UDP 444 > 10.100.124.238 TCP/UDP 443
- Forward 173.228.57.201 TCP/UDP 9002 > 10.100.124.237 TCP/UDP 8801
- Forward 173.228.57.201 TCP/UDP 445 > 10.100.124.237 TCP/UDP 443
Here is an example of how a controller can be configured:
There are two controllers (for 750 participants) that control Meeting Connectors
The following is an example of network information:
- Meeting Connectors have the following external IP address: 173.288.57.201
- While ZC has the following internal IP address: 10.100.124.236
- MMR has the following internal IP address: 10.100.124.235
The following is an example of how to set up a firewall:
- Forward 173.228.57.201 TCP/UDP 9001 > 10.100.124.238 TCP/UDP 8802
- Forward 173.228.57.201 TCP/UDP 444 > 10.100.124.238 TCP/UDP 443
- Forward 173.228.57.201 TCP/UDP 9002 > 10.100.124.237 TCP/UDP 8801
- Forward 173.228.57.201 TCP/UDP 445 > 10.100.124.237 TCP/UDP 443
- Forward 173.228.57.201 TCP/UDP 9003 > 10.100.124.236 TCP/UDP 8802
- Forward 173.228.57.201 TCP/UDP 446 > 10.100.124.236 TCP/UDP 443
- Forward 173.228.57.201 TCP/UDP 9004 > 10.100.124.235 TCP/UDP 8801
- Forward 173.228.57.201 TCP/UDP 447 > 10.100.124.235 TCP/UDP 443
As an example, here is how Controller 1 is configured:
A sample configuration of Controller 2 is as follows:
