Setting notifications in the Zoom Events Notification Center
If Zoom Events receives activity related to events and tickets in the Zoom Events Notification Center, you will be notified by email or push notifications.
If you are a host or attendee of an event, you can receive notifications related to your Hub-related role. Your notification settings can be updated at any time in the Notification Center.

Prerequisites for notifications in the Zoom Events Notification Center
Host
- Desktop client for Zoom
- Version 5.7.6 or higher for Windows
- Version 5.7.6 or higher for MacOS
- Mobile Zoom client
- The iOS version must be 5.7.6 or higher
- The Android version must be 5.7.6 or higher
- Account type: Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Education
- In order to create paid events, you will need a PayPal Business or Stripe account
- Licence for Zoom Events
Attendee
- Zoom desktop client:
- Windows: 5.7.6 or higher
- MacOS: 5.7.6 or higher
- Zoom mobile client
- IOS: 5.7.6 or higher
- Android: 5.7.6 or higher
- Basic user
Notes:
- Despite the fact that Zoom Events version 5.7.6 is supported by Windows’ Webview package, it is still possible that hosts will receive a blank lobby experience in the event of a dependency.
- Our recommendation to all hosts and attendees is to upgrade to the most recent version of the Zoom desktop/mobile client or application in order to enjoy the latest features of Zoom Events and Webinars.
How to differentiate notification settings (email or push notifications)
These types of activities can be notified to you via email and/or push notifications.
Notifications related to hubs can be received when:
- There has been a publication of an event
- The Hub is updated with new users or removes old ones
- The Hub Profile has been updated or a Hub has been published
Notifications related to Attendees can be sent when:
- Gifted tickets have been updated
- My favorite events have been updated
- I attended a fundraiser for which there are updates
- Special tickets and invitations to events are available
- As an Alternative Host or Panelist at an event there are updates
- Event recordings are available for events I have attended
- I need to take a survey about the event
- My registered events have been updated
- I attended an event that has been updated
- My registration for an event is 24 hours away
Notifications about hosts can be received when:
- I have active updates for a fundraiser I am holding
- It’s not long before one of my events sells out
- A ticket refund request is made by an attendee
- The events I host are updated
Receive miscellaneous notifications
Notifications (System) can be received about:

How to manage the Notification Center
Notifications are displayed in the Notification Center. Your profile picture will show a red dot if you have a notification associated with one of the types of notifications you can receive.
View your notifications
Your notifications can be viewed here:
- Zoom Events can be accessed by signing in.
- You can access your profile picture by clicking it.
- Go to Notifications and click on it.
Your notifications will be displayed in the Notification Center.
Manage your notifications
You can customize your notifications by following these steps:
- Zoom Events can be accessed by signing in.
- To edit your profile picture, click on it.
- You can access notifications by clicking Notifications.
- To see notifications for attendees, hosts, hubs, and systems, click the Notifications tab.
- In the ellipses next to each notification, you can manage your notifications:
- Mark as Read: This message’s notification status is changed to read.
- Delete this Notification: Unsubscribe from this notification.
- Unsubscribe from this host:
- This host will no longer send you any notifications.
- You can change all messages in the Notification Center’s notification status to read by clicking Mark All as Read at the top of the page.
- You can choose to delete all read notifications in the Notification Center by clicking Delete All Read at the top of the page.
Set your notification options
The following steps will guide you through selecting the notification types and the manner in which you wish to receive them:
- Zoom Events can be accessed by logging in.
- The profile picture can be accessed by clicking on it.
- You can find notifications by clicking Notifications.
- Go to Settings.
A window will appear with Notification Settings. - You can select which notifications you would like to receive under the Zoom Events and/or Email columns.
- If you no longer wish to receive any notifications, deselect the check boxes next to them.
- Save the changes.
Unsubscribe from notifications from a specific host.
Unsubscribing from a specific Hub is as simple as this:
- Zoom Events can be accessed by signing in.
- The profile picture can be accessed by clicking on it.
- You can access notifications by clicking Notifications.
- Select Attendee under Notifications.
- Click the ellipses to the right of the notification you want to unsubscribe from, then find the notification from the host you want to unsubscribe from.
- This host can be unsubscribed by clicking Unsubscribe.
Unsubscribe from notifications from a specific host through the unsubscribe link
Through the unsubscribe link in the notification email, you can unsubscribe from notifications from a specific host:
- Open your email application or sign into your email account.
- Zoom Events will send you a notification via email.
- You can unsubscribe from [Host’s name] by clicking the link at the bottom of the email.
Resubscribe to notifications from a specific host.
Adding a new host to the list of hosts to receive notifications from would be as follows:
- Join Zoom Events by logging in with your Zoom account.
- To edit your profile picture, click on the picture in your profile.
- Click on the Notifications tab.
- Click on the Settings button.
- Find the Host whose name you would like to resubscribe to under Hosts I’ve Unsubscribed From, then click the icon to the right of the name of the Host you would like to resubscribe to.
- To subscribe to this host again, simply click on the Resubscribe button.
In the section “Hosts I’ve Unsubscribed From”, you will no longer be able to see the host’s name. - Save the file by clicking the Save button.
