Setting Zoom Events cancellation policies
You can set the default cancellation policy for Zoom Events in the cancellation policy section of your hub.
Note:Â When creating an event, you can also modify the cancellation policy.
Prerequisites for setting Zoom Events cancellation policies
- Zoom desktop client
- Windows:Â 5.7.6Â or higher
- MacOS:Â 5.7.6Â or higher
- Zoom mobile client
- IOS:Â 5.7.6Â or higher
- Android:Â 5.7.6Â or higher
- Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Education account
- Stripe or PayPal Business account is required to create paid events
- Zoom Events license
Notes:
- It may cause a blank lobby experience for hosts when using version 5.7.6 of Windows’ Webview package for the Windows platform.
- Zoom desktop client/mobile application must be updated in order to access the latest Zoom Events and Webinar features.
How to set the event cancellation policy
- Log in to Zoom Events.
- Select Manage.
- Choose the hub you want to manage from the hub dropdown menu in the left navigation menu.
- To manage the cancellation policy for the hub, click Cancellation Policy.
- Set your cancellation policy for single and drop-in tickets as follows:
- Your event page will display the refund policy you choose
- A full refund can be obtained for attendees who cancel their tickets/drop-in tickets 1 hour before the event begins
- Tickets cannot be canceled. Refunds can be requested later by attendees.
- Partial Refund Policy:
- Some tickets of the total order can be refunded or cancelled by attendees
- Your event page will display the refund policy you choose
- Ticket cancellation policies are defined under the Series Tickets section:
- Your event page will display the following refund policy:
- The series ticket can be refunded in full one hour before the event begins
- It is not possible to cancel tickets. A refund can be requested by attendees after the event.
- Policy on partial refunds:
- Some tickets of the total order can be canceled or refunded by attendees
- Your event page will display the following refund policy:
- Then click Save.
