If you do not want to use chat for meetings and webinars in Zoom, you can disable chat for all meetings and webinars from your profile settings.
This prevents hosts, co-hosts, and participants from chatting at meetings you host.
If you disable chat, chat options will not appear in the meeting controls.
Disabling private chat prevents participants from sending messages to individuals rather than the entire group.
How to Add Disabling In-Meeting Chat
- Go to Profile Settings
- My Meeting Settings.
- Uncheck the [ Chat ] or [ Private Chat ] option to disable in-meeting chat.
- Click Save Changes.
