Disabling touch-functions on a Zoom Room display
If you don’t want to use Zoom Rooms for Touch but have a touch screen monitor, you can disable the touch screen driver in Windows. A touch screen monitor can thus be used in Zoom Rooms as a regular display.
Note:
The controller or web interface can be configured to disable this feature if you are running version 4.5.0 (1032.0906) or higher.
Prerequisites
- Version 4.0.44731.0823 or higher of Zoom Rooms for Conference Rooms for Windows
- Windows version 4.0.44731.0823 or higher, Zoom Rooms Controller
- A Windows PC with a touch screen version 10.x or higher
Instructions
Note:Â If Zoom Rooms for Touch is running on your computer, close it if it is running.
- Make sure you are logged in as an administrator on your Windows PC.
- You can enter “device manager” by holding down the Windows key and pressing S at the same time.
The Device Manager can also be accessed from the Control Panel by typing “device manager” in the search bar or by typing it directly into the Windows search box. - Go to the Device Manager by clicking on it.
- It is possible to expand Human Interface Devices by double-clicking it.
- By right-clicking a touch screen that is HID-compliant, you can disable it.
You will be asked to confirm in a dialog box. - Confirm by clicking Yes.
HID-compliant touch screens that have been disabled will show an icon beside them. - Click on Zoom Rooms to open them.
Displays for Zoom Rooms will be displayed on the monitor.
