The chat feature allows webinar participants, hosts, co-hosts, and panelists to communicate during the webinar. Whether a participant can chat with everyone or only with the host depends on the settings selected by the host. Please refer to the details about the setting of chat function by host.

How panelists start chatting

1. In the controls at the bottom of the window , click Chat .
   If you are operating in the mobile terminal, [participants] , [chat] and then tap.
2. If you are not in full screen mode, the chat window will be displayed on the right side of the screen .
   In full-screen mode, a window opens where you can move around the screen .
3. Enter a message in the chat window and press Enter to send the message.

About selection of destination

” Destination: ” Click the drop-down next to, to change the destination of the message.
As a panelist, you can send messages to all panelists, all participants and panelists, or individuals.

About Notification of Chat Reception 

If you receive a message while the chat window is not open, you will receive a notification at the bottom of the screen.

 

How participants start chatting

As a webinar participant, you can chat with other participants, panelists (including the host), depending on the chat permissions granted by the webinar host. See About All Participant Controls.

1. For participants, the chat is displayed in the controls at the bottom of the screen.
2. When you click [Chat] , a chat window will be displayed.
   If it is not full screen, it will be displayed on the right .
   In the case of full screen, a window that allows you to move around the screen is displayed.
3. Enter your message and press Enter to send.

• You can also click the drop-down next to “To:” to select who you want to send the message to.

About selection of destination

When you receive a chat message, a notification appears at the bottom of the screen if the chat window is not currently open.

About Notification of Chat Reception

You can view messages sent by the host and other panelists even if the host has disabled participant chat.
