I want to limit who can attend Zoom meetings

Before the meeting, there are two methods: ” Put a password for the meeting ” and ” Pre-register participant “. Once you have a meeting, there is a way to ” lock the meeting .”

 

Password your meeting.

Suitable for meetings that are usually held.

 

When creating a meeting by clicking [Meeting] on the app home screen,

  1. Check [ Meeting password required ] in the option.
  2. Enter the password and, [ schedule click].
  3. You will receive a password when sending invitations to meeting participants.
    Please be careful when handling your set up a password at the individual meeting, go to the settings tab and enable it. This setting will give you an option to set your password.
  4. When entering a meeting, participants enter their password and enter the meeting room.

If you are creating a meeting from a linked calendar such as Google Calendar

  1. Create a meeting from the calendar as usual.
  2. Meeting information is linked to the app.
  3. Select the meeting that you want to password in the [ coming soon ] list in [ Meeting ] of the app
  4. Check [ Meeting password required ] under the option .
  5. If you want to set a password for a recurring meeting, select Change All Meetings.
  6. You will receive a password when sending invitations to meeting participants.

Register in advance

First, the host sets up participant registration

  1. Sign in to https://zoom.us/
  2. Click the [ My Meetings ] tab in the left bar, and select the meeting for which you want to set up registration.
  3. Click [ Edit this meeting ] in the lower right .
  4. Check [ Register ] and click [ Edit ].
  5. The meeting participants will be notified of the registration URL.

Participants can register for the meeting and join the meeting once they are approved by the host.

When the URL in the meeting invitation is received, the participants register.

  1. If you click the registration URL provided by the host, the screen below will be displayed.
  2.  Enter your first name, last name and email address, check ” I’m not a robot ” and click on the register button.
  3. When the meeting is registered, the screen below is displayed.
  4. The same content will be sent to your email address.
  5. If you want to cancel, click Cancel.
  6. When joining a meeting, click the meeting participation URL to join the meeting.
    The URL will be sent by email.

Lock the meeting

Start the meeting and lock the meeting when the participants are in place.

  1. Click Manage Participant and select Details at the bottom right .
  2. Dialog ” When you lock the meeting, the new attendees will not be able to participate. ” [The OK and then click].

If you want to unlock the meeting lock, do the same.

A meeting room can accommodate 300 participants. What is the maximum number of participants you can have in Zoom? It is not possible to cap the number of attendees in Zoom meetings. It is possible to have 300 participants in a Zoom meeting at the same time.
