Skype for Business (Lync) plug-in for Zoom App

Lync users 2010, 2013 and Skype for Business users can start Zoom meetings from the contact list.

To use Skype for Business (Lync)

  • Zoom Client must be  3.5.16903.0522  or higher
  • Zoom Skype for Business plugin Zoom Skype for Business plugin
  • Windows 7 or later
  • Lync 2010 and 2013

Installation method

  1. Install Skype for Business.
  2. Download and install the following plug-ins and clients from the Zoom Download Center .  Please refer to the application installation method (PC version) for the installation method of 
    Zoom Lync Plugin 
    Zoom Client
    client . Note : You need to restart Skype for Business to see the plug-in.

How to start a Zoom meeting

The following needs to be logged in to your Zoom account.

  1. Open Skype for Business and log in.
  2. Right-click the user for whom you want to hold a video meeting.
  3. Select Start Zoom Meeting to start a Zoom meeting session with your contacts.
  4. Zoom will open automatically and the meeting will start.

If you have not signed in

You need to sign in to Zoom, sign in, and start the meeting.

How to start Zoom meeting during Skype chat

The following needs to be logged in to your Zoom account.

  1. Opens a chat window with the person you are chatting with.
  2. Select the […] icon
  3. Click Start Zoom Meeting to start a Zoom meeting session with this user.
