It may be possible for you to use Join Before Host for your meeting if you are not logged in when you join, in which case you can log in and take control of the meeting. It will be possible for you to manage participants, keep an eye on records, and do a lot more with this program.

Prerequisites for signing in during a meeting

• Having the privilege of hosting the meeting
• Through the Zoom Desktop Client for Windows, Macintosh, or Linux
• Through the Zoom Mobile App for iOS and Android

Windows | macOS

The following steps need to be taken in order to sign in and claim host control:

1. Click the Participants button on the meeting control panel.
2. Next, click the Claim Host button.
3. Click the Login button to claim your host.
4. Sign in to your Zoom account.
5. Your name will now appear on the Participants list under the Host Name.

Linux

– To login and claim host control, follow these steps:

1. To do this, click Participants at the bottom of the meeting control panel.
2. Then click Claim Host
3. Click the Login button to claim your host.
4. Sign in to your Zoom account.
5. Your name will now appear on the Participants list under the Host Name.

iOS

Users can claim host control by logging in with the following steps:

1. 1. 1. Tap the More button in the meeting controls. On an iPhone, control controls for your meeting will be placed at the bottom of your screen, while on an iPad, control controls will be at the top of your screen.
      2. Then Tap Sign In as Host.
      3. Sign in to your Zoom account.
      4. Upon tapping on Participants you will see that your name now appears in the list of participants as the host of the event.
         

         Android

         Users can login to claim host control by following the steps below:

         1. Go to the meeting control panel and select More.
         2. Tap on the Login as Host option.
         3. In the event of a host not participating in the meeting, you will see a prompt that tells you about it. Click OK to log on as the host.
         4. Log onto your Zoom account online.
         5. By selecting Participants from the Participant list, you will be able to see you have now been listed as the Host.
