Upload local records to the Zoom Cloud

Local Recording saves the recorded file on your computer’s hard drive.

Local recordings can not be uploaded to Zoom Cloud. You need to use cloud recording cloud recording to

save videos in Zoom’s cloud. Paid users can do cloud recording.

However, you can share your local recording with others by uploading to a third-party cloud storage service like Dropbox or Box, a content/learning management system, or a video-sharing site like YouTube or Vimeo.

How to upload to the cloud

  1. Find a recording on your computer.
    The easiest way to do this is to open the Zoom client.
  2. Click [ Meeting ].
  3. Click [ Recorded ].
  4. Place the cursor on the meeting for which you want to view recordings and click Open.
    Or, recording data is stored in the following folder by default: C: Users admin Documents Zoom YYYY-MM-DD HH.MM.SS Meeting Title Meeting ID
  5. The folder where the recording file is saved opens.
    MP4 files are video files.
  6. Then go to Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, Youtube, Vimeo, or another platform to upload MP4 files.

To view and manage your recording, click the link found in your email, or click on the “Share recording with viewers” link in the message, in order to share it with others. In addition to being able to access all your recorded meetings on your Zoom desktop client by clicking on the Meetings tab, you can also access all your recorded meetings by clicking on the Recorded tab at the top of the left side panel after you have clicked on the Meetings tab on the right side.
 
As a host, you have the option of viewing a cloud recording
  1. Open the Zoom web portal and sign in with your Zoom account.
