How to request a toll-free number port
- The letter of authorization (LOA) from the respective country should be downloaded and completed.
- Should you require assistance, please see the porting guidelines.
- When the port is complete, you may wish to swap any POC (proof of concept) or trial phone numbers that you currently have. If you wish to swap those numbers, please fill out the Number Swap Form. The swapping-in of numbers will be carried out in the same way as the swapping-out of numbers.
- The e-mail address numberportingemea@zoom.us should be used. Make sure the following information is included:
- Subject line must include:
- Signed and completed LOA
- Phone bill from within the last 3 months relating to your porting numbers
- Additional documentation required by the porting country
- When Zoom reviews the request, it will confirm that it has been received.
- Since the transfer request is dependent upon your losing provider, Zoom will send a request to verify the data on the LOA. Zoom and the losing provider will coordinate the number porting if accepted. You’ll be able to manage the numbers via the Zoom website once they’ve been approved.
Guidelines
- Please provide a copy of your last 3 months’ telephone bill.
- You must provide information that matches what your current provider has on file.
- The letter of agreement must be hand written or wet signed within 3 months of issuance. Most EMEA countries do not accept LOAs signed electronically.
- An LOA must include the name of the losing provider.
- Dates in the LOA must follow the EU date format (dd-mm-yyyy).
- A LOA must specify the address of the country in which the telephone numbers are ported in some European countries. For more information, please read the guidelines for porting.
- The names and numbers of all ports must be included in the LOA as attachments rather than in the body.
- In some countries, DDI blocks of numbers cannot be split because they are not allowed to be split. For more information, please refer to the commonly asked questions regarding porting.
- Only after an order is submitted can the number portability be checked. The losing provider may tell you that these numbers aren’t transferrable at times.
- As the porting numbers are being transferred away from the losing provider, there may be some interruption to incoming calls during the port activation window.
- Most portings occur within 30 days of submission.
Requirements
To request a number port, use the LOA form found in this table. Additional documentation may be required depending on the country of port.
Each LOA / country of port should be raised in one email.

Transferring Swiss Toll Free Numbers
Swiss Toll Free Numbers require you to own the number in order to be ported, so the process is a bit different than usual.
As such, it is important to verify that before porting Swiss phone numbers into Zoom, any Toll Free numbers that you are interested in transferring to Zoom will be assigned to you as the current holder of the phone number, and not to your current network provider.
Verifying Whether You’re the Current Holder
For information on your number allocation, you can refer to the following link: BAKOM Individual number allocation (0800, 084x, 090x): https://www.bakom.admin.ch/bakom/en/homepage/telecommunication/numbering-and-telephony/individual-number-allocation.html
The following information is intended for consumers who are interested in Swiss phone numbers that have been fixed individually. Freephone Numbers (0800), Shared-cost Numbers (084x), Business and Marketing (0900), Games and Competitions (0901) and Adult Entertainment (0906) are some of the categories which can be reached with these numbers.
1a. Requesting a Reallocation if You Are Not the Holder
Note:
Getting your number reallocated from your current carrier before raising a ‘porting in’ request with Zoom if you are not the current holder of the number is required if you are not the current holder.
It depends on your current carrier how long it takes to reallocate your account and how quickly the process occurs. The following is the link to the Transfer of Individually Allocated Number form that you will need to download and fill in in accordance with industry practice:
Website: http://www.bakom.admin.ch/bakom/en/homepage/telecommunication/numbering-and-telephony/individual-number-allocation.html
