Adding and managing Zoom contacts in Zoom App
In the All Contacts section of your Zoom contacts directory, you will find internal contacts that are part of the same Zoom account and organization. Users who own a Zoom Pro account or higher can turn off the setting Company Contacts in the IM settings of their account so that they will not see everyone who is part of the same Zoom account. Admins and owners of accounts can also choose to allow their users to chat with external contacts or to add them to their account.
By specifying the email address of any external Zoom user, you can add them as a contact within Zoom. If your contact request is approved, then you will be able to chat, share images and files, and meet in real time once the contact request has been approved. There will be an invitation sent to that email address if you add it to Zoom that is not associated with a Zoom account.
Furthermore, you are able to link your Zoom account with another Zoom account so you become a part of the same organization, and sync your contacts with third-party services. You can also view your contacts in Zoom mobile app. You can also use channels to communicate with your friends in a group setting. If a channel member is not in your contacts directory, then you are unable to send direct messages to them unless they are in your contact directory.
Note: Your external contacts can be viewed and removed by your admins at any time.
