You can send files using the chat function during a meeting or send files outside the meeting using the chat function of the Zoom app. These features are turned on by default. If you want to restrict the file transmission function, you need to restrict the two file transmission functions as needed.

- Sign in to the Zoom portal site with an administrator account.
- Click [Account Management] .
- Click [ IM Management ] .
- Click [ IM Settings ] .
- Turn off (Gray) the toggle for [File Transfer] in the shared items.
- When the confirmation window for setting changes pops up, click [Turn off].
Now, you can set the app to not send files to the entire account. Next, restrict chat features during the meeting.
How to restrict the ability to send files during a Zoom Meeting
- Sign in to the Zoom portal site with an administrator account.
- Click [Account Management] .
- Click [ Account Settings ] .
- [ (Basic) at the meeting ] and click, and scroll down.
- Set the toggle for [ Send File ] to off (Gray).
