How to improve Zoom Poor Video Quality
Contents
Improving poor video quality
As well as offering numerous built-in features for improving video and picture quality, Zoom also includes filters, virtual backgrounds, and other features to enhance video conferencing. In addition to these settings, this will enable attendees and hosts to add some flare to their video, as well as make meetings, webinars, and remote work more enjoyable.
Additionally, account owners and admins can upload custom filters for their users.

How to improve meeting video and picture quality
Enable HD video
Video conferencing in HD quality is a great way for your business meetings to be more productive.
The COVID-19 incident led to a change in the availability of 720p-quality video for meetings requiring at least 2 people on the conference call; 1080p quality is currently reserved for special use cases only. Meetings in 720p will only be available to Pro account users and above. If you’d like more information, please see our requirements for Group HD for more information.
For example, if you want to use higher-quality video in a meeting or a webinar, you can enable HD video, allowing you to use 720p or 1080p. This can be done using the Zoom client by following the instructions below.
- If you’re using the Zoom desktop client, you need to click your profile pic, followed by Settings.
- Next, click the Video tab.
- Then click HD.
Nevertheless, you should make sure that your device meets the bandwidth requirements as well even with the setting enabled.
Adjust for low light
If you are attending a remote video conference in a dark environment, Zoom’s low light mode allows you to brighten up your video so that it is easier to see during the video conference.
- Click the profile picture on the Zoom desktop client and then click on Settings on the dialog box that appears.
- Click on the Video  tab.
- Turn on the Adjust for low light option.
- If the option is selected by default, the setting will be set to Auto. There is also the option of selecting Manual, and adjusting the setting to the desired outcome.

During meetings, webinars, and other Zoom functions, you can use overlays, color filters, and other custom frames to enhance your video. All of this is done through a Zoom desktop client and mobile application.
Windows |Â macOS

Use virtual backgrounds
During a Zoom Meeting, you can display a video or an image as your background using the Virtual Background feature. To enable Zoom to detect the difference between you and your background, this feature works best when a green screen is used and uniform lighting is used.
Apply studio effects
With Studio Effects, you are able to add eyebrows, mustaches or beards, and lip color filters to your video to enhance the appearance of your video.
- To use the Zoom desktop client, log in.
- Click the profile picture of your profile, then click the Settings button.
- Click on the Background and Filter tab.
- At the bottom right-hand corner, click Studio Effects.
- From the Eyebrows, Mustache & Beard, and Lip Color sections you can select the desired settings you are looking for.
- To activate or disable the Apply to all future meetings option choose the appropriate selection.
- Then click Close.
