You can use the Zoom mobile app to see your phone’s contacts, allowing you to invite them to sign up for Zoom or use Zoom Phone to call them using Zoom Phone. There is also a feature known as matching phone contacts, which is also part of this feature.

Note:

As an alternative to having your contacts synchronized with third-party services, you can use the method described in this article. Zoom mobile app does not support the syncing of contacts, however you can follow these steps to sync your contacts with the native contacts app on your phone, and then view your contacts via Zoom mobile app once you have synced your contacts.

Prerequisites for viewing phone contacts in the Zoom mobile app

• The Zoom mobile app is available for both Android and iOS devices
• Messages can be sent to this number as long as it is able to receive them

Note:You may experience problems when attempting to use this feature if you are running Zoom mobile in a sandbox environment that is virtual (such as Parallel Space or VMware Intelligent Hub).

(Optional) How to sync contacts with a third-party service

There are a number of native apps that support the syncing of contacts with a third-party service such as Google, Office 365, or Exchange. If you need assistance with syncing the contacts app on your phone, please visit these websites:

  Note: Visit the support site of the phone manufacturer if you are using a phone that has a customized version of Android (such as a Samsung device).
• Apple iOS

To access your phone contacts in Zoom’s mobile app, follow the steps in the next section after enabling sync on your phone.

How to view phone contacts

Note: Please make sure that you grant Zoom access to your contacts if you are using iOS. Go to Settings and tap Privacy, then tap Contacts and you will be able to see your contacts. Zoom can be toggled on and off by tapping the toggle.

1. Using the Zoom mobile app, sign in to your account.
2. To change the settings, tap the Settings button.
3. Click on Contacts and then tap on Phone Contacts Matching on the left hand side.
4. Please enter a phone number that will be able to receive texts from you.
5. Tap on the Continue button to continue.
6. Please click OK when you are prompted to do so.
   Your phone number will be confirmed by Zoom by sending you a text message.
7. Tap Next after entering the verification code that you received in the email.
   It is recommended that you enable Zoom access to your phone contacts if you are using an Android device. To do this, simply tap Allow when prompted.
8. Click on the Done button to complete the process.
   Contacts from your phone will appear under the Phone Contacts tab under the Contacts tab in your phone’s contacts list.

How to call phone contacts

1. Using the Zoom mobile app, sign in to your account.
2. Select the Contacts tab from the menu.
   In order to grant Zoom access to your phone contacts on an Android device, you will need to click Allow when asked to do so.
3. Tap Phone Contacts in the My Contacts section of the screen.
4. You can tap a contact’s name to open the contact’s profile.
5. By tapping the Call button, you will be able to call the contact using Zoom Phone.
   Note: There will be a prompt asking you to choose a number to call if there are several numbers associated with the contact.
