How to recover a deleted cloud recording in Zoom

How to recover a deleted cloud recording

  1. Log into the Zoom web portal by entering your username and password.
  2. Click on the Recordings tab from the navigation menu.
  3. You will see at the top right of your screen a Trash icon if there are any cloud recordings in the trash. If you click the icon, you will see all recordings that have been deleted from the cloud in the last 30 days.
  4. To retrieve the recording, you can click the Recover icon on the right.
  5. Once you have confirmed the recovery, you may proceed.
  6. You will be able to access your recording from the Recordings page once again.

It is possible to recover recordings that have been deleted from the Zoom Trash for a period of 30 days. Upon the expiration of 30 days of the Zoom Trash retention period, recordings that have been left in it will be permanently deleted from the system.
 
A Zoom account administrator can delete any user either through a web interface or through an API call as long as he or she does not specify a parameter that allows the recording sessions of the deleted user to be transferred to any other existing licensed user within a Zoom account. It will be possible to move the user’s recordings to a state of permanent deletion within 24 hours after the files have been moved to that state.
 
Troubleshooting a local recording that is not able to be converted
  1. Launch Zoom’s desktop client on your computer and sign in to your account.
  2. On the tab Meetings, you will see the tab Meetings. Click on it.
  3. You will see a tab called Recorded as soon as you click it.
  4. In order to view the recording from the local meeting, select the topic in the meeting.
  5. Upon clicking the Convert button, a new window will appear.

The Zoom meeting recording is kept for 28 days after the Zoom meeting is held, and it is then removed from Zoom within the 28-day limit. The Zoom meeting recording is kept if you decide to record a Zoom meeting and you choose to do so. On the left hand side of the interface, which can be accessed with a click on Sign In, you will find a button that will allow the user to select Recordings on the left hand side of the interface. When the user clicks Recordings, the recording will be available for download.
 
Go to the Zoom website and sign in to your account. On the left side of the navigation bar, you will find a menu with the option of Account Management, under which you will see Recording Management on the left side of the menu. The cloud recordings that you have uploaded to your account will be listed on the account page.
