How to obtain the phone’s IP address
T4 series without touchscreen
- By pressing the Menu button, you will be taken to the menu.
- Select Status using the directional pad on the phone.

T4 series with a touchscreen
- Select Menu from the home screen by tapping it.
- Select Status from the menu.

How to access the phone’s web interface
Note: Check the account-level desk phone settings to make sure Web Interface is enabled if you cannot access the phone’s web interface.
- Connect the phone to the same network as a computer running a web browser.
- In the previous section, you entered the IP address of the phone.
- The web interface of the phone can be accessed by an administrator.
Note: - By default, admin and admin are the username and password. The vendor of the phone can provide you with the user name and password if you don’t know them. On the Zoom web portal, you can view the admin password if it has been set globally.
How to reset to factory default using the web interface (recommended)
Note:
In older Yealink devices, the navigation menu is on the left side instead of the green header bar.
- Click Settings then Upgrade from the left-side navigation menu.
- Select Reset to Factory.
- Confirm by clicking OK.
How to reset to factory default using the phone’s interface (optional)
You can access the web interface of your phone by following the steps in this section.
T4 series without touchscreen
- The Menu button should be pressed.
- Use the directional pad to access advanced settings.
Note: - Admin password is required (by default, admin). Contact the phone’s vendor if you don’t know the admin password.
- Select Reset Config > Reset to Factory Settings from the phone’s directional pad.
T4 series with a touchscreen
- Go to the home screen and tap Menu.
- Select Advanced.
Note: - The password for the administrator will be requested (by default, it is admin). The vendor of the phone can provide you with the admin password if you do not know it.
- To reset to factory settings, tap Reset Config.
T5 series with a touchscreen
- The home screen can be accessed by swiping left.
- Select the Settings option from the menu.
- To access the Advanced Settings section, scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Note: - The advanced settings can only be accessed if you enter the admin password (the default password is admin). It is advisable that you contact the vendor of the phone if you are unable to remember the admin password.
- Reset the configuration by tapping the Reset Config button.
- In the Reset to Factory Settings menu, tap the Reset to Factory Settings button.
How to install custom firmware using the web interface
Note:
In older Yealink devices, the navigation menu is on the left side instead of the green header bar.
- Navigate to Settings then Upgrade on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Double-click to select the custom firmware file after clicking Browse or Choose File.
Note: - The custom firmware version can be downloaded or verified from the list of supported devices.
- Start the firmware upgrade by clicking Upload. After the custom firmware is installed, the phone will reboot. It will take about two to three minutes to complete the process.
