Zoom Rooms allow users to perform basic functions via voice commands instead of using touch screens. Users can easily use this functionality by issuing voice commands directly from Zoom Rooms using the native voice engine.

Prerequisites for enabling and using voice commands for Zoom Rooms
- Version 5.7.0 or higher of Zoom Rooms is recommended
- Owner of the account, administrator of the account, or any role that has editing access to the Zoom Rooms
How to enable voice commands for Zoom Rooms
- Zoom’s web portal can be accessed by logging in.
- Then click Zoom Rooms under Room Management.
- In Zoom Rooms, you can enable voice commands based on the location hierarchy, the account hierarchy, or the room hierarchy. Click Account Settings in this example.
- Choose Zoom from the voice commands setting under the Meeting tab.
Toggling voice commands on or off from a Zoom Rooms controller
- Voice commands will be enabled by default if you have enabled them in the Zoom web portal.
- Zoom Rooms’ controller allows you to disable voice commands for that workspace by tapping Voice Commands On.
- You can enable voice commands again by tapping the same option.
- Zoom Rooms meetings also allow you to toggle these features on and off.
Note: - Meeting settings can only be changed by toggling the feature within Zoom Rooms.
How to use voice commands

“Hello Zoom” | This is the wake word to get started. The Zoom Room will be ready to receive commands. You can also say this command followed by another. |
“Check in” “Check out” |
Check in and keep the room reserved, or free the room for others to use if checking out. |
“Start meeting” “Start scheduled meeting” “Start an instant meeting” |
Start a scheduled or instant meeting. |
“Join meeting ID” (say the ID number) | Join the meeting ID you have selected. If the meeting requires a passcode you will be prompted to say it. The passcode must be said one character at a time. |
“Join personal link” (say the personal link name. You must say one character at a time) | Join the personal link. If there is a passcode, you will be prompted to say it. The personal link name and passcode must be said one character at a time. |
“Delete” | Delete the last number or character you entered. |
“Leave meeting” “End meeting” |
Leave or end the meeting. |
Known issues
- By deleting the last character, you can fix any errors that may be detected when you say the meeting ID, personal link, or passcode. Next time you attempt to say the character, try slightly changing it. Say “lower case a” instead of “a” if “8” is detected.

What is voice prompt in Zoom?
The 22nd of July 2022 will take place on the 8th of March 2022 by Zoom Help. Overview. If you want to start a meeting from the Zoom room, simply say “Hey Zoom, start a meeting” and the meeting will begin. The voice commands are effective within 10 minutes before the scheduled meeting time, and within 10 minutes after the meeting time, and they take effect whether there is already a meeting taking place or not.

How do you reduce echo in a room for Zoom?
The best way to solve this issue is to disconnect your computer audio from the other devices if you are in a conference room with multiple devices. In order to silence your speaker, you need to do more than just mute it.
Choose one way of muting all attendees:

One at a time, the host will be able to muffle the attendees one by one.

All attendees can be muted at the same time by the host.

You can mute yourself during the meeting if you wish.
