How to control the other party’s or far end camera in Zoom Meeting
Overview
far end camera control allows other users to control the camera and to use the camera’s pan tilt zoom (PTZ) feature. Your webcam must have these features to make this work. The meeting host is the only user who can request far end camera control.
Enabling far end camera control
Enable far end camera control for your account
Perform the following steps to enable the far end camera control feature for all members of your organization.
- Sign in to the Zoom Web portal as an administrator with permission to edit the account settings, [ Account Settingsand then click.
- [ meeting]of the tab [ far end camera control] to move to the option, make sure that the setting is enabled.
If the setting is disabled, [ status] click to enable the toggle. When the confirmation dialog appears, [ to enable] to see the changes and select.
- (Optional) If you want this setting to be mandatory for all users in your account, click the lockicon and then click Lockto confirm the setting.
Enable far end camera control for a specific group
To enable far end camera control for all members of a particular group:
- Sign in to the Zoom Web portal as an administrator with the authority to edit a user group, [ Group Management]and click.
- Click the name of the group, [ Settings]and then click the tab.
- [ meeting]of the tab [ far end camera control] to move to the option, make sure that the setting is enabled.
If the setting is disabled, [ status] click to enable the toggle. When the confirmation dialog appears, [ to enable] to see the changes and select.
- (Optional) If you want this setting to be mandatory for all users in this group, click the lockicon, then click Lockto confirm the setting.
Enable far end camera control for yourself
To enable far end camera control for your application:
- Zoom to sign in to the Web portal, [ My Meetings Settings(in the case of the account administrator) or [ Meeting Settingsand click (in the case of account members).
- Go to the far endCamera Control option on the Meetings tab and make sure the settings are enabled.
If the setting is disabled, [ status] click to enable the toggle. When the confirmation dialog appears, [ to enable] to see the changes and select.
How to Use Far End Camera Control
- Start a meeting.
- After joining the meeting, select the video of the user for whom you want to request camera control,and select Request Camera Control.
- You will be prompted to approve the far end camera control.
- Once approved, the controls appear to pan, tilt and zoom the user’s camera.
