Active Speaker view
A picture-within-a-picture view of the Active Speaker View shows a larger view of the speaker who is talking at the moment, with a smaller thumbnail view of the one who spoke before him. When two people share a screen, the shared screen is displayed and the thumbnail of the person sharing the screen is shown on the large display. If you obtain the Advanced view, you will have the option of choosing the size and location of the thumbnail, or opting not to display the thumbnail for the speaker who is currently active or the shared screen that is being shared.
Thumbnail view
With the thumbnail view, you can see both the Speaker view and the Gallery view stitched together in a reduced version. Under a relatively larger image of the speaker who is actively taking part in the discussion, there appears a small strip of thumbnails showing up to 8 participants. It is shown in the thumbnails, which are the most recently active speakers among the participants. There is only a single screen Zoom Room view available when there is only a single screen in the Zoom Room.
Gallery View
In Gallery View, participants can be displayed on a single screen as many as 25 by default, or as many as 49 participants if the capability is enabled. When viewed in Gallery View, the speaker who is currently active is highlighted. There is an arrow displayed next to the icon if more than the limit of participants per screen is reached. The next set of participants will appear on the screen when you tap on the right arrow, while the previous group will be displayed when you tap on the left arrow. Screen sharing is not available in Zoom Rooms with one screen if screen sharing is active, which means this view is not available.

How to change the layout on Zoom Rooms with multiple screens
There is no thumbnail view when there are multiple screens in a room.
The Zoom Rooms administrator is able to customize the display settings for each screen within Zoom Rooms where there are two or three displays. In a live session, the number of participants and the number of screens being shared will affect the layout of each screen.
There are a variety of options that can be selected for each screen, including the following:
- (The image that other participants see when they are in the room because of the active camera in the room)
- A meeting participant shared the following content with the group
- This is the gallery view of the website
- A view of active speakers
- An image that will be used as the background for the room
While the meeting is in progress, you can toggle between the different views if a screen is configured to show either the Speaker view or the Gallery view. A small icon appears on the right side of your screen, showing the name of the view you will be switching to.
You can learn more about how Zoom Rooms administrators can customize the display of content and video on each screen by visiting Customizing Display for Video and Content.
