Requesting a number port (EMEA) in Zoom
You can port a number from another provider to a Zoom Phone account if you already have an existing number from another provider.
Important Notes:
- We are supporting the portability of local numbers in the EMEA region. Please see the table below for a list of countries that are supported.
- In EMEA countries, we are unable to port international mobile numbers.
- If you wish to port your toll-free number to the EMEA region, you can also do so.
- A Zoom Phone porting activation will only take place during business hours in the country of the port, and you will be notified by your Zoom Phone porting coordinator when the activation will begin
- The loss of DDI blocks is not supported by losing carriers, which is why they must be ported in full in order to be fully operational. For this reason, I strongly recommend that you contact your current service provider so that you can obtain your full number allocation in order to minimize rejections.
-
The LOA must be signed either by hand/wet signature or electronically using either Adobe or DocuSign where allowed by law. In order to process your port request, we will not accept images of signatures, resulting in the rejection of your LOA and a delay in the processing of your request.
- The following is a list of questions and issues that commonly arise during the porting process that you may find helpful.
Contents
Prerequisites for a local number port in the EMEA region
- Ownership or administrative privileges of the account
- A license for Zoom Phone is required
- A copy of the most recent telephone bill/invoice would be helpful
Requesting a number port
- You will be required to complete the Letter of Authorization (LOA) from the country you are traveling to.
- If you need help with porting, you can check out the porting guidelines.
- The best way to do this is to send an email to numberportingemea@zoom.us. Please make sure to include the following information in your email:
- The subject line of the email must contain the following information:
- You may sign the form by hand or electronically using Adobe LOA or DocuSign. Please see the requirements table below for more information.
- The last three months’ telephone bill related to the invoice for porting numbers should contain the date of the invoice within the last three months
- If there is any other documentation that is required by the port country, please let me know
- Upon receiving your request, Zoom will review it and confirm that it has been received.
In order to port a number to Zoom Phone you must ensure that sufficient licenses in your Zoom Phone account are in the available status. One license for each porting number is required. - There is a possibility that Zoom will send a request to your losing provider to verify the information on the LOA, since Zoom has to validate the information on the LOA to allow the transfer to occur. We will work together with the losing provider to schedule the number port if Zoom and the losing provider are accepted. In the Zoom web portal, you will be able to manage these numbers once they have been approved by Zoom.
Guidelines
- Please provide a copy of your last three months’ telephone bill if you have one.
- You must provide information that matches exactly what’s on record with your current provider in order for your request to be processed.
- The LOA must be signed either by hand or by wet signature, or it may be signed electronically by using DocuSign or Adobe software.
- It is recommended that the LOA be dated within the last three months.
- It is important that the letter of authorization be formatted in EU date format (DD-MM-YYYY).
- On the letter of agreement, it is necessary to include the name of the losing provider.
- The address stated on the letter of authorization for the porting of telephone numbers in most European countries has to match the geographic area code of the porting telephone numbers (excluding the United Kingdom).
- Unless otherwise permitted, all porting numbers should be noted in the body of the Letter of Agreement rather than in an attachment unless it is permissible to do so.
- If DDI blocks of numbers are being ported, they may have to be ported completely, as some countries prohibit the breaking up of blocks/ranges of numbers when losing suppliers leave the country. More information can be found in the frequently asked questions regarding porting.
- As soon as the order is submitted, a check for portability of the number will be conducted. Losing providers may advise that their numbers cannot be transferred to new providers in some situations.
- When the porting numbers are being transferred away from the losing provider, you may experience some disruption in the ability to receive incoming calls during the activation window.
- After the submission of the port request to the losing carrier, it usually takes 30 to 60 business days for the process to be completed. You can find more information about the lead times by visiting the website.ย The porting process can be completed earlier or later than this, depending on the circumstances.
