Frequently Asked Questions

The host of a meeting is the user who schedules the meeting. Due to the fact that they have the full permissions to manage the meeting, they are able to do so entirely on their own. Meetings can only be hosted by one person at a time. Managing the administrative part of the meeting can be managed by a co-host, who will have many of the controls that a host has, including managing attendees, setting up the meeting, and much more.

Getting started with the co-hosting feature is as easy as following these steps:
  1. Once you have signed into your Zoom account, you will be able to access the Zoom web portal.
  2. The settings can be found by clicking the Settings button in the navigation panel located in the top right corner of your screen.
  3. On the Meeting tab, you will find a number of options.
  4. The Co-host setting should be enabled under the In Meeting (Basic) menu item.
  5. Click the toggle button to enable the setting if it is currently disabled.
As long as the host scheduled the meeting with specific settings configured during the setup process, it is possible to start or join the Zoom meeting without the host present. In order for participants to be able to join the meeting before the host, the setting must be enabled when the host is scheduling the meeting so that the waiting room feature is disabled.

I would like to change the main host of a Zoom meeting that has already been scheduled, but I do not know how to do this, since the meeting has already been scheduled, as I don’t know how to do that. By clicking on the edit button on the meeting page on Zoom’s website, the host of a meeting can be changed at any time by accessing the meeting page > upcoming meetings tab and editing the meeting you want.

The Zoom Rooms Controller allows you to select participants by tapping the Participants button. It will then display a list of participants for you to choose from. On the participants list, tap the Claim Host button to make sure you are the host. There will be a window on your screen that will allow you to claim the host role once you have claimed it.
