Overview
As a Zoom account owner or administrator, you can assign or remove Zoom Phone licenses. When you assign a Zoom Phone license to a user, they are automatically assigned an extension number. You can also assign a Zoom Phone license to Zoom Rooms to enable outgoing and incoming calls.
After assigning a license, you can also change the phone user settings and assign a direct number .

Assign a license to an existing user
You can assign Zoom Phone licenses to existing Zoom users (up to 100 licenses at a time) to make and receive calls. The user is assigned an extension and is displayed on the Users and Rooms page.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation menu, [Phone System management], [Users and room] and then click the.
- Click Add.
- Specify the following information:

- Sites: If you have created multiple sites, select the site you want the user to belong to.
- User: Click Select . Find the user you want to assign a license to and click the checkbox next to the name. You can select up to 100 users at a time. Click Confirm .
- Package: If you want to assign an outgoing call package, click Assign and select the call package.
- Specify a template to assignto a user : If you wantto apply the template toselected users,click the checkbox to specify the template.
- Click Save to assign the license to the selected users.
Zoom Phone automatically assigns an extension number to each user. Users will also receive an email notification with an extension number and a link to change basic phone settings.
Note : To edit a user’s extension, you need to change the user settings .

Resend the welcome email
After assigning the Zoom Phone license to the user, the user will receive an email notification with a link to change the extension number and basic phone settings. If the user has not set up an account, you can resend this email.

Assign call packages to phone users
After assigning a license, if you want to enable outgoing calls for phone users, you can assign a calling package.

- Select a calling package and click Save.

Assign a license to a new user
You can also create a new user and assign a Zoom Phone license.

Note : Select the Zoom Phone license as the user type . - Click Addto create a user with a Zoom Phone license.
Once you verify your account, the user will be assigned an extension and will appear in Phone Systems Administration > Users and Rooms . You will also receive an email notification with your extension number and a link to change your extension. - If you want to enable outgoing calls, follow the steps to assign a call package.
Remove a phone user’s license or calling package
After assigning a license to a user, you can revoke access to the Zoom Phone by deleting the license. After deleting the license, you will be able to reassign the number associated with the license. You can also remove the call package from the user if you want to disable outbound calls.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation menu, [Phone System management], [Users and room] and then click the.
- Click the checkbox next to each user for whom you want to remove the license or calling package.
- Click Deleteat the top of the table, then click one of the following options:
- Delete User: Removes the Zoom Phone license from the selected users. Click Delete to confirm the operation.
- Remove All Packages: Removes call packages from the selected users. Click Delete to confirm the operation.
Note : Deleting a calling package also deletes the assigned direct number .
